With approximately EUR 70 million in revenue, 400 employees, and a network of over 30,000 retail partners, the company represents a backbone business within its industry. The Director IT role was the most senior IT leadership position in the organization and critical to enabling the company’s next phase of technological evolution. The new leader was expected to modernize the IT landscape and align technology capabilities with the company’s long-term strategic goals.

Challenges

The primary challenge was replacing the incumbent Director IT, who had held the position for more than 20 years and shaped the existing infrastructure and team.
